First impressions

After getting checked into our rooms we took a brief tour around the beautiful city of Castiglion Fiorentino, our home for the next six weeks. The small town is built on a VERY steep hill. Castiglion Fiorentino is unique because it is not a tourist town at all. There are only locals, besides those of us at the center, here which provides insight to the true Italian culture. Dinner was next and, like all meals served here, was a delicious three course meal. Normally they start with bread and end with salad!? Little backwards if you ask me! Meals here are a little different than back in the states, none of the drinks have ice in them, vino is custom with lunch and dinner and EVERYTHING is fresh and locally grown.
